I’m never eating strawberries again

there’s a pit in my stomach it’s grown into a strawberry

the spiders that live in it climb into my empty lungs turning the trees in my lungs upside down every morning they put on their tiny flip flops and stomp all over my brain

their teeth makes little holes in my fingertips at night they scream keeping me up

i’ve grown used to it sometimes if i open my eyes hard enough flies will crawl in the flip flop wearing spiders chase after the flies tearing through my body ripping open my liver releasing tens of hundreds of beetles

the beetles chew through my bones freeing the worms that made my skeleton their home they slither through my body wreaking havoc wherever they go

i’ve grown used to it but i’ll never eat a strawberry again
